Parrish Medical Center is a proud member of the National Patient Safety Foundation's Stand Up for Patient Safety program, the participants of which are a select group of hospitals and healthcare systems that have distinguished themselves as national leaders in the patient safety movement.
The Joint Commission's Award-Winning Patient Safety Program
In March 2002, The Joint Commission, together with the Centers for Medicare
and Medicaid Services, launched a national campaign to urge patients to
take a role in preventing healthcare errors by becoming active, involved
and informed participants on the healthcare team. The program features
brochures, posters and buttons on a variety of patient safety topics.
Everyone has a role in making healthcare safe, physicians, healthcare executives, nurses and technicians. Parrish Medical Center is working hard to make healthcare safety a priority. You, as the patient, can also play a vital role in making your care safe by becoming an active, involved and informed member of your healthcare team.
Here are some convenient brochures discussing Patient Safety and the roles of both healthcare professionals and patients in ensuring a safe healing environment.
