Occupational Therapy Services
Occupational therapists help patients live as independently as possible
following a serious injury, illness or surgery. Our occupational therapists
will evaluate a patient’s everyday needs and then design a plan
to help patients live more independently and utilize compensatory strategies
when needed. If adaptive equipment is needed, the occupational therapist
will make recommendations on the types of equipment and how to utilize it.
Speech Therapy Services
Speech therapists, also known as speech language pathologists, are trained
to assess, diagnose and treat communication disorders, as well as swallowing
disorders. Speech therapy services can also address memory, safety and
sequencing tasks, which can be important for patients recovering from
an injury or surgery.
