Whether you're preparing for the upcoming school year or need a sports
physical before any athletic season, Parrish Healthcare is here to help
your student-athlete stay healthy, safe and ready to compete. With affordable
year-round appointments and annual community sports physical events, families
have convenient access to the care they need when they need it. A parent
or guardian must accompany athletes to their physical, and students should
wear a t-shirt and shorts to complete the exam. Choose the option that
works best for your family:

Sports Physical: $10 per student
Electrocardiogram (EKG): $20 per student
Why Sports Physicals Matter
A pre-participation sports physical is an important step in helping determine
whether a student is healthy enough to safely participate in athletics.
During the exam, a healthcare provider will review the athlete’s
medical history; evaluate their overall health; assess their heart, lungs,
joints, flexibility and strength; and discuss any previous injuries. The
goal is to identify medical conditions or physical concerns that may require
treatment or further evaluation before the student begins training or
competition.
Optional Electrocardiogram (EKG)
For additional peace of mind, students can also complete an electrocardiogram
(EKG) along with their sports physical. An EKG is a quick, noninvasive
test that measures the heart's electrical activity and may help detect
underlying heart conditions that often have no noticeable symptoms. While
some programs don’t require an EKG, it provides a more complete
assessment of a student’s cardiovascular health.

Sports Physical Events in Our Community
Every summer, Parrish Medical Group hosts several community sports physical
events to help local student-athletes prepare for the upcoming school
year. Below are our remaining scheduled Sports Physical Events for 2026:
Saturday, August 8, 2026
When? 8:00AM – 12:00PM
Where? Parrish Healthcare Center at Port St. John: 5005 Port St. John Parkway,
Suite 2100 (Second Floor), Port St. John, FL 32927
Cost? $10 per athlete (All proceeds benefit the Jess Parrish Medical Foundation
and local area high schools)
Parrish Healthcare also partners with several North Brevard high schools
to host dedicated sports physical events for currently enrolled students.
