TITUSVILLE, FLA. (August 13, 2026)—Parrish Healthcare and Parrish Medical Group (PMG) welcome board-certified radiation oncologist, Ana Botero, MD, to the North Brevard community.
Dr. Botero joins Parrish Medical Group with more than 25 years of experience providing comprehensive, patient-centered cancer care. Fluent in both English and Spanish, Dr. Botero is committed to developing personalized treatment plans that combine advanced radiation therapy techniques with the latest technology to deliver highly precise, effective cancer treatment.
Radiation oncology is a medical specialty that uses high-energy radiation to treat cancer and shrink tumors. Alongside surgery and chemotherapy, radiation oncology works by damaging the DNA of cancer cells so they can no longer grow and divide.
Dr. Botero treats a wide range of cancers including breast, prostate, lung, head and neck, endocrine, gastrointestinal, gynecologic, skin, thyroid, brain and metastatic (cancer that has spread from where it first started to a new part of the body), among others. Her areas of expertise include complex radiation therapy planning, stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS), image-guided radiation therapy (IGRT), brachytherapy and low-dose radiation treatments for benign conditions. Benign conditions Dr. Botero treats include osteoarthritis and arthritis, plantar fasciitis, Dupuytren's disease, keloid scars and tennis or golfer's elbow. Dr. Botero is also well-versed in external beam treatments utilizing Electrons, 3D Radiation Therapy Planning, Intensity-Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT), Surface Guided Radiation Therapy (SGRT) and Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy (SBRT).
Dr. Botero completed her education in General Surgery at the Instituto de Ciencias de la Salud (CES) in Medellín, Colombia and her education in Radiation Oncology at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Missouri. Throughout her career, she has provided compassionate, personalized cancer care for patients across South Florida with Memorial Healthcare System and Baptist Health and has spent more than 25 years presenting internationally on the latest advancements in radiation therapy.
