Parrish Healthcare Recognizes Susan Munsey-Perry, RN, as Quarterly DAISY Award® Honoree

TITUSVILLE, FLA. (August 14, 2026)—Parrish Healthcare recognizes Susan Munsey-Perry, RN, a maternity care nurse at Parrish Medical Center, as this quarter’s DAISY Award®, an international recognition program that honors the extraordinary skill and compassion nurses provide every day.

Munsey-Perry has been an employee, referred to as Care Partner, at Parrish Healthcare for more than 27 years. Throughout her career, she has helped welcome thousands of babies into the world and has made a meaningful difference in the lives of patients and families through her compassion, kindness and dedication to exceptional care.

Munsey-Perry was nominated for the DAISY Award® by a patient she cared for who was recovering from surgery. In her nomination, the patient described the profound impact Susan had during such a vulnerable time.

“Susan comforted me in a way I will never forget. She made me feel like I mattered and that she truly cared about my well-being. She was patient, compassionate and kind. What stood out the most was how she treated me as a person—not just a patient. She spoke with warmth, reassured me when I was anxious and made me feel safe during a very vulnerable time.”

Lisa Dickerson, Parrish Healthcare’s Chief Nursing Officer, congratulates Munsey-Perry on being this quarter’s honoree. “Susan’s more than two decades of service to our patients and families is a remarkable testament to her dedication to compassionate, patient-centered care,” Dickerson said. “The words of her nominator beautifully capture what makes Susan such a special caregiver—she sees and cares for the whole person. We are incredibly proud to recognize her as this quarter’s DAISY Award® Honoree.”

“Being nominated for a DAISY Award® is a testament to the extraordinary impact our nurses have on the lives of others,” said George Mikitarian, President and CEO of Parrish Healthcare. “Susan’s 27 years of loyal service to Parrish Healthcare represents a legacy of caregiving of helping families welcome a new baby into the world and of caring for patients during some of their most vulnerable moments.”

In addition to honoring Munsey-Perry, Parrish Healthcare also congratulates each of this quarter’s DAISY Award® nominees. “Each nomination tells an impactful story of compassion and healing,” continues Dickerson. “We are continuously grateful for the dedication our nurses demonstrate every day in service to our patients, families and the North Brevard community.”
