Parrish Medical Center Hosting 2018 Brevard County Chaplain’s Day

TITUSVILLE, FLA. (September 17, 2018)—Parrish Medical Center is hosting the 2018 Brevard County Chaplain’s Day. The event will be held on Friday, Oct. 19, from 8:30 a.m.–3 p.m., at Parrish Medical Center, 951 North Washington Ave., in Titusville. All chaplains, whether vocational or volunteer, clergy, lay ministers and mental health professionals are encouraged to attend for a day of networking and learning.

Keynote speakers, networking and opportunities for support and feedback will be relevant to chaplains in every setting. End-of-life care is challenging and working with hospitals and faith communities to improve the health of your congregants is tough. Chaplain’s Day is an opportunity to hear from experts in your field and others in the community navigating the same situations and practicing the resilience needed for coping with them.

“We are excited to host this year’s Chaplain’s Day,” said Jerald Smith, director of Pastoral Care at Parrish Medical Center. “Each year builds on the excellence of the year before. It keeps getting better and better!”

A continental breakfast and lunch will be served. The event is free, but space is limited. For more information, and to pre-register, call 321-268-6110 or visit parrishhealthcare.com/events.
