Parrish Medical Group OB-GYN Welcomes Midwife David Carter-Plake, Ph.D., BSM, LM, CPM, C-EFM

TITUSVILLE, FLA. (March 9, 2026)—Parrish Healthcare and Parrish Medical Group (PMG) are pleased to welcome licensed midwife David Carter-Plake, Ph.D., BSM, LM, CPM, C-EFM.

Carter-Plake joins Parrish Medical Group’s Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB-GYN) practice where he will be providing collaborative care to expectant mothers in the office and during delivery. His areas of specialty include prenatal exams; labor and delivery preparation; providing prenatal and infant care guidance; and offering counseling and emotional support for those expecting.

Carter-Plake earned a Doctorate in Holistic Health, Wellness and Healing from the Institute of Metaphysical Humanistic Science in North Port, Florida. He also holds a Master of Education from Strayer University in Arlington, Virginia. Additionally, Carter-Plake graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Midwifery from Midwives College of Utah in Salt Lake City, Utah.

He is a licensed midwife (LM), a certified professional midwife (CPM) and holds a national certification in fetal heart monitoring (C-EFM). David-Plake also maintains an active professional affiliation with the International Metaphysical Practitioners Association (IMPA).
