TITUSVILLE, FLA. (June 16, 2026)—Dr. Gary Oh, MD, DABFM, DipABLM, a board-certified family and lifestyle medicine physician with Parrish Medical Group Primary Care, has achieved two significant milestones in advancing evidence-based preventive healthcare: becoming a Blue Zones® Certified Physician and earning the Type 2 Diabetes Remission Certificate through the American College of Lifestyle Medicine.
These accomplishments further strengthen Dr. Oh's commitment to helping patients prevent, manage, and even reverse chronic disease through lifestyle medicine—a medical specialty focused on addressing the root causes of illness through nutrition, physical activity, restorative sleep, stress management, social connection and other healthy lifestyle behaviors.
Dr. Oh brings experience spanning medicine, neuroscience, mental health, research and patient education to Parrish Medical Group Primary Care. He is board-certified in both Family Medicine and Lifestyle Medicine and is passionate about empowering patients with the knowledge and tools needed to achieve lasting health and wellness. His clinical interests include preventive medicine, wellness, chronic disease management, mental health, athletic performance, coaching and the connection between mind and body.
The Blue Zones® Certified Physician designation reflects advanced training in the science of longevity and healthy aging, based on lessons learned from regions around the world where people live the longest and healthiest lives. Physicians earning this designation learn evidence-based strategies to help patients adopt sustainable habits that support lifelong health and vitality.
In addition, Dr. Oh completed specialized training in type 2 diabetes remission through the American College of Lifestyle Medicine. The Type 2 Diabetes Remission Certificate recognizes physicians who have demonstrated expertise in using intensive lifestyle interventions to help patients improve metabolic health and, in many cases, achieve remission of type 2 diabetes. This approach offers patients the opportunity to reduce medication dependence, improve quality of life and address the underlying drivers of chronic disease.
"These certifications align perfectly with my philosophy of care," said Dr. Oh. "My goal is not only to treat illness but to help patients build the foundation for long-term health. Lifestyle medicine gives people the opportunity to take an active role in their well-being, and the results can be transformative—not just for diabetes, but for heart disease, obesity, hypertension, mental health and overall quality of life."
Dr. Oh is a member of the American College of Lifestyle Medicine and a Fellow of the Canadian College of Neuropsychopharmacology, reflecting his longstanding commitment to advancing research and innovation in medicine and mental health.
As a physician with Parrish Medical Group Primary Care, Dr. Oh provides comprehensive care for patients of all ages, including preventive screenings, acute and chronic disease management, health counseling and lifestyle medicine services designed to help patients thrive at every stage of life.
