JPMF Receives Handmade Items for Pediatric Patients

Local sorority Xi Lambda Lambda, Beta Sigma Phi Chapter, at the Great Outdoors in Titusville presented Jess Parrish Medical Foundation (JPMF) with 50 handmade pillowcases for pediatric patients at Parrish Medical Center (PMC).

“Our sorority chapter is focused on giving back to the community and wanted to support families and children entering the hospital. When we heard about the pediatric programs and services provided by PMC, we knew that this was the right organization to receive the donation,” said Ileane Patterson, sorority vice president.

Several members from the Beta Sigman Phi Chapter presented the pillowcases to Linda Carrillo, assistant vice president, Ambulatory Services; Kathy Myer, director, Women’s Center; Kimberly Smith, interim manager of Emergency Department; and Misty Wilson, director of Jess Parrish Medical Foundation.

“We really appreciate the time this sorority took to make the pillowcases, which will be so comforting to the children who are admitted to our pediatric unit. We are very thankful for this generous and heartfelt donation,” said Myer.
