JPMF Recognition Gallery Now Open

The Jess Parrish Medical Foundation (JPMF) honored GrayRobinson Attorneys at Law and Turmy and Oscar Sieveking for their donations of more than $100,000 at a recent event celebrating the opening of its new Recognition Gallery.

GrayRobinson’s history in Brevard County dates back to the 1960s. Giving back to communities where they practice law has always been a core principal of the law firm. The firm has worked with Parrish Medical Center (PMC) for many years and has shared its corporate success in a number of ways, from donating to the Children’s Center Futures Fund and the Parrish Health Village to being the presenting sponsor of various events benefiting children and families in our community.

The Sievekings are passionate about improving the lives of women and are committed to providing healing experiences for the next generation. They have pledged $100,000 in their estate to leave a legacy of hope by funding women’s health initiatives.

Both signature gifts are recognized on engraved glass tiles located in the PMC atrium.

The Recognition Gallery, now open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, honors philanthropic community partners helping PMC achieve its vision of Healing Families—Healing Communities®.

More than 100 guests attended the recognition event, which included a brief ceremony with comments by PMC President and CEO George Mikitarian and JPMF Board of Directors Vice Chair Jessie Kirk before unveiling the new recognition displays.

“It is an honor to recognize GrayRobinson and the Sievekings for their commitment to providing healing experiences in our community,” said Kirk. “Together, they are helping PMC improve, transform, and save lives.”

Thanks to Sodexo Health Care’s generous contribution, the gallery has been created to include static recognition displays as well as a digital display that allows visitors, with just a swipe of a finger, to access donor testimonies, patient testimonies, funding initiatives and giving societies.

“We are so thankful to our generous benefactors and proud to showcase their commitment to PMC’s vision,” said Barbara Terhune, chair of the JPMF Board of Directors. “The recognition displays are much more than a listing of names. They represent hope for hundreds of seniors and caregivers, peace of mind for individuals and families, and brighter futures for all children.”

Whether they are a PMC care partner, member of the auxiliary, physician or community benefactor, major gift ($10,000 or more) benefactor names have been permanently listed on displays in the gallery. Annual and employee gift donors are also recognized on displays the year following their gift.

The displays are a unique and lasting tribute commemorating donor commitment to PMC, educating others on how members of our community provide healing experiences through philanthropy and volunteerism. For more information, contact JPMF at 321-269-4066 or visit parrishmedfoundation.com.
