Parrish Medical Group is offering pre-participation sports physicals and heart screenings for North Brevard students for the upcoming school year. Please join us for our community sports physical event on Saturday, August 8, from 8:00AM-12:00PM at Parrish Healthcare Center in Port St. John. Sports physicals are $10 per athlete with proceeds benefiting the Jess Parrish Medical Foundation and participating North Brevard high schools.
In partnership with Who We Play For, a nonprofit dedicated to eliminating preventable sudden cardiac death in athletes, students can also get an electrocardiogram (EKG) screening for $20 per athlete. This noninvasive test records the heart’s electrical activity and can help identify irregular heart rhythms, poor blood flow and other potentially life-threatening conditions. While walk-ins are welcome for sports physicals, athletes must register in advance for an EKG at www.whoweplayfor.org/heart-screening-registration.
