About Sharef

Dr. Al-Mulaabed is a board-certified pediatrician with specialized training in pediatric gastroenterology, hepatology and nutrition, as well as clinical informatics and healthcare technology.

Dr. Al-Mulaabed received his medical training at Oman Medical College in Muscat and worked in pediatrics for eight years in Oman and Ireland. He completed a pediatrics residency at Brookdale University Hospital in New York City, where he served as chief resident his final year, and a fellowship in pediatric gastroenterology, hepatology and nutrition at Orlando Health Children's Arnold Palmer Hospital. He also completed a healthcare IT and clinical informatics fellowship at Orlando Health Orlando Regional Medical Center.

Dr. Al-Mulaabed is passionate about research, with numerous manuscripts published in peer-reviewed medical journals and has received multiple awards at prestigious national scientific meetings. He is committed to patient safety, quality improvement and high-value care. In addition, his clinical informatics training allows him to focus on implementing healthcare IT and artificial intelligence to provide the best care possible for patients by leveraging the most advanced technology tools.

Outside of medicine, he enjoys spending time with family, playing tennis, traveling and exploring the outdoors.

He is fluent in English and Arabic.
