About Nestor

Dr. Garcia-Santos earned both his Doctor of Optometry degree and Bachelor of Science in Vision Science from Nova Southeastern University College of Optometry. He completed a residency in Primary Care and Ocular Disease at the Illinois College of Optometry, where he received advanced training in the diagnosis and management of ocular disease.

His clinical experience includes externships at Indian Health Services in Bethel, Alaska, and The Eye Institute in Melbourne, Florida, as well as specialized training in glaucoma, retina, dry eye, myopia management, pediatrics, low vision, cornea and contact lenses, traumatic brain injury, and primary care. Throughout his training, he earned honors in multiple clinical rotations.

Dedicated to providing exceptional patient care, Dr. Garcia-Santos has pursued advanced education in laser procedures, specialty contact lens fitting, billing and coding, and culturally competent care. During optometry school, he also volunteered at Aker Eye Vision Source, gaining valuable experience in patient care, optical services, and practice operations while working alongside experienced clinicians.
