Parrish Healthcare Celebrates Certified Nurses Day Honoring Specialty Credentialed Nurses

TITUSVILLE, FLA. (March 19, 2026)—Parrish Healthcare recognizes Certified Nurses Day, an annual celebration honoring specialty credentialed nurses and other healthcare professionals who demonstrate exceptional commitment to nursing excellence, professionalism, service and lifelong learning.

Observed each year on March 19 since its establishment in the 1980s, Certified Nurses Day brings together employers, certification boards, educational institutions and healthcare organizations to acknowledge nurses who have achieved and maintained the highest credentials within their specialties. This day highlights the vital contributions of board-certified nurses worldwide. Parrish Healthcare is honored to recognize twenty-eight nurses who have earned specialty certifications.

Kristina Crabtree, Director of People Development at Parrish Healthcare, emphasizes the dedication required to achieve certification. “When a registered nurse pursues certification, they are choosing to go beyond standard requirements to showcase advanced knowledge and expertise in their specialty,” she said. Crabtree, who holds a Nursing Professional Development Certification (NPD-BC), and is among those being recognized at Parrish Healthcare. “Earning certification is a meaningful step in professional growth and reflects a strong commitment to the nursing profession.”

Heather Focht, an International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant Nurse (IBCLC), shares how her certification enhances patient care. “Through my certification, I’m able to provide evidence-based, specialized support that helps both mothers and babies succeed. It ensures families receive the highest quality care, education and encouragement throughout their breastfeeding journey.”
