PMC Holds Election of Officers

The recent election held by the Parrish Medical Center's board of directors resulted in the following office appointments: Herman Cole Jr., Col, USAF (Retired), chairman; Robert L. Jordan Jr., vice chairman; Peggy Crooks, treasurer; Billie Fitzgerald, secretary; and J.J. Parrish III, member at large.

In addition to the board officers, the nine-member board of directors includes Jerry Noffel, Maureen E. Rupe, and newly appointed Stanley E. Retz, CPA and Ashok Shah, MD.

Newly appointed to the Parrish Medical Center board of directors through appointment by the Brevard County Board of Commissioners and the Titusville City Council were Stanley E. Retz, CPA, and Ashok C. Shah, MD.

Mr. Retz, a partner in Retz Baker Certified Public Accountants in Titusville, has been a CPA for more than 32 years. Professionally he has worked on audits for governmental, not-for profit, and for profit entities. He also assisted the City of Titusville Police Department in its contract negotiation and budget development.

Dr. Shah has been in private practice in Titusville for 18 years as an internal medicine physician. He is also on the active medical staff at Parrish Medical Center, and often works with local nursing homes to provide care to the residents. Shah has served on the board of directors of BIMDA (Brevard's Indo-American Medical/Dental Association), and is currently the sponsorship chair for the BIMDA Expo Committee.
