Foundation Receives Boeing Grant for The Children's Center

Jess Parrish Medical Foundation announced a $5,000 grant received from the Boeing Employees Community Fund for the Parrish Early Care and Education (PECE) program at The Children’s Center in Titusville. The grant will provide nearly 1,000 hours of service to special needs and typically developing children.

The PECE program provides high quality developmental and educational care in fully inclusive classrooms where typically developing children and those with special needs learn together. PECE offers a continuum of care including a support group for new mothers, part-time and full-time preschool and child care, and respite care. The Children’s Center, serving more than 2,500 children annually, has six non-profit partner agencies on site to assist children with physical, occupational and speech therapy, and one-on-one behavior services. The center also offers parent support programs, birthday parties and much more.

“This grant will allow us to focus on teaching and helping children rather than raising funds to support programs. We’re grateful the Boeing Employees Community Fund recognized the need in our community and are providing us with this grant,” said Debby Settle, The Children’s Center program manager.

“The Children’s Center provides an essential service to the community; offering the only child care service, of this kind, in North Brevard. The professional, yet nurturing, environment is positively reflected in each and every one of the kids. The Boeing Employees Community Fund is honored to be a part of their community,” said Janet Rawlins, project manager of The Boeing Company.
