BCBS of Florida and PMC Reach Contract Agreement

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Florida (BCBSF)
and Parrish Medical Center in Titusville, today announced a multi-year
contract agreement. The agreement includes BlueChoice (PPO), BlueCare
(HMO), BlueOptions (NetworkBlue), Aadvantage65 and traditional indemnity
(PHS) plans and is effective March 1, 2011.
“We are glad to resume our relationship with Blue Cross. The agreement will enable area residents served by Blue Cross and Blue Shield to have the benefit of being in-network when they come to PMC,” said Jay Parrish, III, Parrish Medical Center board chairman.
“We are very pleased as well to have reached an agreement with Parrish Medical Center that will benefit BCBSF members and the community,” said Andy Marino, vice president of network development for BCBSF. “Our goal throughout this process has been on coming to an agreement that will provide our members with access to affordable health care choices, and by working closely with Parrish on this agreement, we have satisfied that goal.”
