JPMF receives major gift from Sodexo

Jess Parrish Medical Foundation (JPMF) announced a $100,000 gift from Sodexo Health Care for the expansion of the Sodexo Room at Parrish Medical Center (PMC). The gift will fund the addition of a recognition gallery.

Earlier this year, JPMF announced a $350,000 gift from Sodexo to fund “Carey’s Guest House”, which will provide lodging/overnight stays for visitors with a hospitalized family member who wish to stay close to PMC. The new commitment makes Sodexo’s total gifts and pledges more than $750,000.

“The new Sodexo Hospitality Room and Recognition Gallery will continue our mission of healing experiences for everyone all the time®. The area will be more than a place to recognize benefactors; it will focus on the generosity of our community and allow us to tell stories of healing,” said George Mikitarian, PMC’s president/CEO.

“Sodexo is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for customers, clients and communities, which is in line with PMC’s vision of Healing Families—Healing Communities®. This will be a natural extension of our healing hospitality within PMC,” said Bob Bucciarelli, senior vice president of Sodexo’s Hospital Division.

“Because of Sodexo’s commitment to PMC and JPMF, we will be able to provide our benefactors the recognition they deserve for their outstanding generosity. We hope visitors will be drawn to learn more about us and be inspired to get involved in our healing mission and vision,” said Laurie Smirl, executive director of JPMF.
