Foundation Benefit Ball: October 29

Jess Parrish Medical Foundation will host its annual benefit ball on Friday, October 29, 2010, from 7:30 p.m. to midnight at La Cita Country Club in Titusville. This year’s theme is “Masquerade at Monte Carlo.” The event will be reminiscent of James Bond and Casino Royale with all the glitz and glam of Monte Carlo.

Guests attending this year’s gala can try their luck at “games of chance” while enjoying fantastic live entertainment, music and a chance to win a diamond necklace valued at over $3,000 with the purchase of a signature martini. The necklace and martini recipe are sponsored by Jon Miller of Jon’s Fine Jewelry in Cocoa Village. Guests will also have the chance to bid on items such as travel packages and sports memorabilia during a live auction. The grand finale will include a reverse raffle with a $7,777 jackpot.

Underwriting committee co-chairs and JPMF board members, Richard Boggs of Boggs Gases in Titusville, and Judy Allender, community volunteer, have begun their fundraising efforts toward the$150,000 goal. Proceeds will benefit women’s and children’s initiatives at Parrish Medical Center.

Event co-chairs are Dr. Biju and Lisa Mathews, and Jim and Katherine Musick. Other masquerade ball committee members are Kelley Broome, Mary Coleman, Betty Greene, Dot Hudson, Tricia Parrish, Laurie Smirl, Ann Snodgrass, N. Christine Sylvester, Barbara Terhune and Holly Woolsey.

Tickets to the event are $100 per person and sponsorship opportunities begin at $333. Sponsors will receive special recognition according to level of contribution.
