COVID-19 Visitation Restrictions Update

Parrish Medical Center (PMC) serves to provide a safe and healing environment for everyone all the time. The current COVID-19 pandemic continues to make certain visitation restrictions necessary. The following revised visitation restrictions will be implemented effective September 16, 2020 and until further notice.

Hospitalized Patient Visitation

  • One visitor/partner-in-care may be designated for the duration of the hospital stay. Visitors must be 18 years of age or older to visit.
  • Visitation is limited to pre-registered visitors. Visitor registration will be facilitated as part of the hospital admissions process.
  • Visitation of patients with a positive COVID-19 diagnosis or patients who are suspected as having COVID-19 will be further restricted to 15-minutes per day. This is in accordance with CDC infection prevention guidance.
  • Masks/face coverings are required to cover nose and mouth during the entire visitation.
  • Visitors who exhibit flu-like illness (fever greater than 100 degrees F in addition to a cough or sore throat) may not visit hospitalized patients for the health and safety of all.
  • Active visitor screening continues to include temperature check.
  • Visiting hours are open 24/7.
  • Visitors may also be asked to adhere to additional infection prevention guidance during the visit.
  • Management reserves the right to discontinue the visitation at any time to maintain a safe environment for everyone.
  • Management reserves the right to make exceptions to the visitation restrictions for patients with special needs or receiving end-of-life care.
