Brevard Schools Foundation Backpack Giveaway 7/30

For many years, Parrish Healthcare has been a proud sponsor of this special event which serves over 2,000 children in our community annually. Each child receives a backpack filled with school supplies needed to start the year off right.

Move Into Light, April 30, 2022

Along with Brevard Prevention Coalition, Parrish proudly sponsored Move into Light, a community outreach event which took place at Isaac Campbell Park this past Saturday. The purpose of the event was to enhance community knowledge and access to available healthcare related to addiction recovery and mental health services.

Over 200 community members came out and enjoyed a host of food trucks, vendors, music and an inspirational message from a suicide survivor. Together, we brought to light mental health and addiction struggles and raised awareness for resources and reaffirmed that those who are suffering are not alone.

Special thanks to all of our care partners who attended the event, especially Darrell Bacon who gave a moving speech, and our amazing volunteers who created a truly memorable outreach experience.

Smile from Within Event with JT Hassell, April 23, 2022

The Parrish Healthcare sponsored Smile from Within football clinic held April 23rd was a huge success! We had over 200 families come out and meet NFL player, Titusville native and creator of this initiative, JT Hassell of the New York Jets. Participants also met Willie Harvey, Cleveland Browns; Shakial Taylor, Philadelphia Eagles; Sheldrick Redwine, Miami Dolphins; Marcus Maye, New Orleans Saints.

The activities of the day centered around football, friendship and learning about mental health. Kids participated in seven mental health stations discussing: Anxiety & Depression, Safety, Anger & Bullying, Coping Skills, Eating Healthy & Exercise, Yoga, a Motivation Station with several NFL players, and a bounce house obstacle course station.

Easter in the Park, April 9, 2022

The young and the young-at-heart enjoyed a terrific time at our Easter in the Park event sponsored by the Parrish Auxiliary. The weather was spectacular and perfect for photos with Big Bird and of course, the Easter Bunny.

Other activities included crafts, a duck pond, prizes and the always popular face painting.
