About Biju

Dr. Mathews is a board-certified cardiologist with extensive clinical and leadership experience in cardiovascular medicine. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology, cum laude, and his Doctor of Medicine from The George Washington University School of Medicine. He completed his internship and residency at Albert Einstein College of Medicine at Long Island Jewish Medical Center, serving as Chief Resident, followed by cardiology fellowship training at the University of Florida, where he was Chief Fellow during his third year. He subsequently completed advanced fellowship training in interventional and peripheral cardiology.

Dr. Mathews is board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease, Nuclear Cardiology, and Interventional Cardiology, and holds an active medical license in the state of Florida.

A recognized physician leader, Dr. Mathews has served as Director of Invasive Cardiovascular Services at Parrish Medical Center, and Chair of Internal Medicine from 2016 to 2020. In 2022, he was elected President of the Medical Staff at Parrish Medical Center. His career reflects a strong commitment to clinical excellence, program development, and physician leadership.
