On April 14, 2003, the federal Office of Civil Rights enforced new rules
to ensure this trust between patients and their healthcare providers.
As part of those new rules, healthcare providers will be required to obtain
your signature in acknowledgement of how the hospital/provider uses and
shares your personal health information.
Parrish Medical Center provides every patient with a pamphlet explaining
these requirements. It is a very detailed explanation of how your personal
health information is used and secured here at PMC.
Patient Privacy Parrish Medical Center (PMC) is committed to the privacy
and confidentiality of personal information over the Internet. PMC recognizes
that the security of your health care information is of great concern
