TITUSVILLE, FLA. (July 23, 2020)— Parrish Healthcare is using a new SafeCheck Walk Through Body Temperature
Detector in an effort to help prevent the spread of COVID. SafeCheck instantly
reads the body temperature of the person walking through it and enables
detection of fever that might indicate contagion from COVID 19 or other
The SafeCheck detectors will help ensure the safety and well-being of our
care partners and visitors. Reading temperatures manually is slow and
potentially risky to the people taking the readings. Parrish Healthcare
solves both of these problems by using SafeCheck detectors.
SafeCheck can screen 70 people per minute. A person being screened places
his or her wrist, or forehead, two to three inches away from an infrared
sensor. The device displays their temperature on an LED screen on top
of the machine. If the temperature falls outside the normal range of 97
to 99 degrees Fahrenheit, the machine will automatically issue an audible
and visual alert.
“Since the onset of the pandemic, Parrish Healthcare facilities implemented
a number of enhanced safety protocols including temperature screenings.
Installing the walk-thru devices provides a more efficient and healing
experience for everyone entering our facilities,” said George Mikitarian,
President/CEO, Parrish Medical Center. For more information, visit safecheckusa.com
