Susan's Story

Susan's Story

Recently and unexpectedly, I embarked on a personal medical odyssey that began with a minor symptom and culminated with major surgery at the Parrish Medical Center. In between, there were consultations with doctors and diagnostic tests, which either occurred at the hospital or in the offices of
affiliated doctors.

This was quite a stressful time for me and my family; however, it could have been so much worse hadit not been for the many wonderful people who helped us get through it.

In no way did any of these people indicate a desire for praise or recognition, but I feel it is the least I can do. Further, on behalf of my family and myself, I would very grateful if you would be so kind as to
to convey our most sincere thanks and appreciation for the very professional and competent manner in which our issues and concerns were addressed and resolved, but above all, for their consistent show of kindness when I was at my most vulnerable. Possibly they can never know how much this meant.

Accordingly, I wish to recognize the following:

Dr. Zambos
Dr. Anderson
Dr. Denis Perez
Dr. Pretto and Jane McLaughlin, CRNA
Dr. Mody

Carolyn in Perioperative Services (Sorry, I do not have her last name; the team comprised of
Carolyn,Carey and Donna)
The staff of The Women's Center, especially:
Letha Neale,
Melinda Hodges
Beth Culpepper
Keleigh Cunningham

I would also like to personally thank Dr. Carmona.
I would add one further commendation, and that is to the Dietary Department, not only for their excellent food, but also for somehow managing to deliver hot food that is actually hot. Sometimes it is the so-called small amenities that make a difference.

Finally, I would like to thank you, Mr. Mikitarian, for your your excellent leadership at the Parrish Medical Center. As it has often been said, true excellence begins at the top, so I sincerely thank you for all that you do.
